Jessica Baker Of Pompano Beach Stabbed To Death

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — On Saturday, BSO deputies responded to a Deerfield Beach home where they found a 36-year-old woman stabbed to death and a man who attempted to kill himself.

Broward Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a murder that occurred in Deerfield Beach on Saturday.

According to investigators, at approximately 12:04 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, Broward County Regional Communications received a call regarding an individual making suicidal threats at 601 N.W. 42nd Court in Deerfield Beach. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded. Deputies additionally learned that there may be an adult female inside the home with life-threatening stab wounds. On scene, deputies immediately forced entry into the home and discovered an adult female deceased inside the residence.

During a sweep of the residence, deputies found an adult male, Avion White, suffering from apparently self-inflicted wounds. White was taken to North Broward Medical Center for treatment.

White is being charged with second-degree murder.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
