BOYNTON BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — A Boynton Beach woman was injured after losing control of her Honda Civic on Gateway Boulevard and crashing it into a concrete utility pole.

According to a preliminary crash report from Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Rosa Ann Diaz, 63, from the Jamaica Bay community of Boynton Beach, was traveling eastbound on Gateway Boulevard when she veered off of the road for unknown reasons.

Once her vehicle exited the roadway it mounded the curb and proceeded eastbound on the sidewalk where she then crashed into a concrete utility pole. Diaz's vehicle then spun back onto Gateway Boulevard where it rested on the outside lane.

Diaz was transported to Delray Medical Center as a trauma alert due to her injuries. Sources tell Boca Post that she was found unconscious when Boynton Beach Fire Rescue responded to the scene.
