74-Year-Old Innocent Jean Passed Away

BELLE GLADE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A 74-year-old Belle Glade man died 5 months after being struck by a car while crossing the street in Belle Glade.

According to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, on December 23rd, 2023, Innocent Jean, 74, of Belle Glade, was crossing North Main Street from the median towards the eastern shoulder. At the same time, an unidentified driver was driving north on North Main Street when Jean improperly entered the roadway. As Jean entered the path of the Kia, the unidentified driver was unable to avoid a collision.

The Kia impacted Jean who sustained serious injuries from the collision. The unidentified driver failed to stop and fled in the Kia from the scene.

Exactly 5 months later, on May 23rd, 2023, Jean was pronounced deceased, while in hospice, due to this collision.
