BROWARD COUNTY, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — The Department of Defense, BSO, and other local law enforcement agencies to conduct tactical training in the area.

Between May 30 and June 13, Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) will be partnering up with other local law enforcement agencies and the Department of Defense (DOD) to perform training exercises throughout Broward County. These training scenarios could include tactical operations like active shooter response team tactics coupled with hostage rescue strategies together with SWT best practices.

The exercises during this two-week period will include tactical operations by multiple law enforcement agencies. BSO says that all exercises shall operate under close supervision and observation by officials.

While BSO carefully picked locations and times so as to not cause alarm among residents, the department says if you do observe these operations, please stay away. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office urges citizens not to obstruct or delay law enforcement officers during activities conducted in public areas.

Last year, when this happened, people reported seeing military helicopters, SWAT operations, and more. Don’t panic, BSO says, it’s all part of the training operation.
