Authorities from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are currently looking into an incident involving a single car accident that resulted in the loss of a womans life in Tamarac early last Saturday morning. As per the findings by the investigators involved in the case the collision took place shortly past 4 a.m.on February 1st in close proximity to the intersection of West Commercial Boulevard and West Prospect Road.The preliminary reports indicate that Nikole Machado was driving westbound in a 2021 Honda Civic, along West Commercial Boulevard.Investigators note that unexpectedly the Honda swerved towards the elevated central concrete divider struck it and ultimately collided with a tree. BSheriffs deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue teams hurried to the scene when they received the call, for help.The driver was carefully freed from the vehicle. Taken to Broward Health Medical Center but tragically passed away.The authorities are still trying to piece what led to the tragic accident involving only one vehicle.
