Three Vehicle Crash Leaves One Dead In Pompano Beach

Authorities from Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are currently looking into a collision involving three vehicles in Pompano Beach that resulted in the death of a woman driver.According to reports by investigators around 9;08 pm on Tuesday the 11th of February a woman was driving westbound along West Sample Road close to where it meets Florida Turnpike in her 2011 Toyota Corolla when a driver, in a 2013 Lexus CT200 cut across her path while attempting a U turn.The two vehicles then crashed into each other. Following the crash impact the Toyota veered across the median onto the lanes of West Sample Road where it collided head on with a 2025 Volvo XC60 heading eastbound on the same road section. Upon arrival at the scene by Pompano Beach Fire Rescue team members responded promptly. Sadly declared the Toyota driver deceased. Fortunately those, aboard the Volvo were taken to Broward Health North for treatment of life threatening injuries. The Lexus driver confirmed no injuries. Stayed at the scene throughout. The authorities are still looking into what caused the crash.
