Detectives from Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are currently looking into an incident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian in Oakland Park last Saturday evening around 7 p.m.. The authorities at Broward County Regional Communications were notified about a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian along Powerline Roads 3600 block in Oakland Park. According to findings a woman was walking towards west across Powerline Road when she tragically crossed paths, with a Ford Fusion while crossing southbound lanes and got hit. Oakland Park Fire Rescue arrived at the scene. Confirmed that the pedestrian had passed away tragically following a collision involving a Ford Fusion driven by Kevin Jones who stayed at the location and provided full cooperation to the authorities conducting the inquiry into the accidents details which are still, under investigation.
