Authorities from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are looking into a car accident that resulted in the death of a man and injuries to two passengers in Pompano Beach area at night last Saturday near East Copans Roads 1100 block. Initial findings suggest Corey Escarment was driving a 2004 Toyota Highlander towards the direction when the vehicle skidded out of control and collided with a tree, in the central divider. The car was redirected to the westbound lanes. Eventually came to a stop there where BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue arrived on the scene.
