Two individuals—a man and a woman—have tragically lost their lives and the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is currently looking into the circumstances of their passing. Investigators shared that numerous calls were made to Broward County Regional Communications at around 1;47 a.m. reporting an argument between a male and female within an apartment located at the eighth floor of 600 E Dania Beach Blvd in Dania Beach during Monday morning. Upon arrival at the scene of the incident by deputies they discovered Dareika Chery aged 36 with stab wounds, inside the apartment. Chery was declared dead at the scene by investigators who found Chris Little in the fifth floor hallway during their investigation as well as learned that Little had forced his way into an apartment on the same floor before being discovered by authorities. Little was taken into custody. Later pronounced dead after being transported to a nearby hospital according to investigators. Authorities have stated that this incident is isolated and poses no danger, to the community. The investigation is ongoing.
