The detectives from the Homicide Unit of the Broward Sheriff’s Office have apprehended Shem Sherrod at the age of 35 for the murder of Christopher A Patterson that occurred year. On Friday morning at around 11;06 a.m. a call was made to Broward County Regional Communications reporting a body found floating in a canal near the 4500 block of Southwest 43rd Terrace in Dania Beach. Responders from BSOs Dive Team and deputies from BSOs District, in Dania Beach arrived at the scene. Retrieved the body of an adult male. Detectives from the Homicide Unit of BSO arrived at the scene. Initiated their inquiry process.On in the investigation process Broward Sheriffs Office (BSO) detectives determined that the victim was Christopher Patterson.The investigative team diligently pursued leads over months and eventually identified Sherrod as the prime suspect.According to detectives the homicide took place near a body of water beneath a bridge located at 4501 S.State Road 7, in Davie.Sherrod was taken into custody on Wednesday,April 9th. He got arrested at BSO Main Jail. Is charged with one case of second degree murder and one case of aggravated battery.
