The Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit detectives apprehended Deshawn Allen for first degree murder charges in connection with the shooting of Chaddric Loray in Pompano Beach on Monday morning of March 3rd at around 4;42 a.m. following reports of gunfire, near the 700 block of Northwest Ninth Avenue received by Broward County Regional Communications. Deputies acted quickly to provide life saving assistance until Pompano Beach Fire Rescue arrived on the scene but unfortunately Loray was declared deceased by paramedics on site. Investigators reported that Allen had engaged in an argument, with Loray earlier that evening. Detectives revealed that following the argument Allen pursued Loray to two places before firing multiple shots at him. Allen was apprehended by authorities charged with first degree murder. The investigation is ongoing.
