Detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) took a man into custody on several sex‑crime counts and are urging any additional victims—or anyone with information about the case—to step forward. According to investigators Ronison Exavier, an athletic coach, at Highlands Christian Academy was arrested on Monday, Oct. 20 after reports of lewd and lascivious molestation surfaced. Detectives report that the family of a victim reached out to BSO on Monday after learning the suspect had summoned the victim to his office on Wednesday, Oct. 15 and then inappropriately touched her. In the course of the inquiry BSO investigators uncovered a victim who claimed Exavier had engaged in comparable lewd and lascivious conduct toward her. The first alleged assault is placed in the fall of 2024; the second is said to have occurred in July 2025. Upon receiving this information SVU detectives promptly went to Exangler’s residence, in Coral Springs, where officers placed him into custody. Exavier stands accused of three allegations of soliciting or engaging in sexual conduct with a student, two charges of lewd and lascivious molestation and a pair of counts for touch or strike battery. In light of his dealings with pupils at Highlands Christian Academy investigators suspect there may be victims yet undiscovered. Persons possessing any information are encouraged to reach out, to BSO SVU Detective Eric Wilson at 954‑321‑4460. Those preferring anonymity may call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954‑493‑TIPS (8477). File a tip online via browardcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters can also call **TIPS (8477)** from any cell phone, in the United States or submit a tip through the SaferWatch App.
