The Boynton Beach Police Department and Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Department responded to the crash and remained on scene as the emergency response continued. The crash was reported near South Congress Avenue, a busy corridor that runs through a heavily traveled part of the city.

Authorities have not yet released additional details about what led up to the crash. The departments also have not yet released information about the number of people involved or the extent of any injuries. For now, the clearest message from the scene is traffic-related: avoid the area.

That advisory matters for residents and drivers moving through Boynton Beach, especially along South Congress Avenue and nearby connecting roads. With police and fire rescue personnel working in and around the crash site, traffic disruptions are possible as the scene remains active.

The response involves both the Boynton Beach Police Department and Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Department, placing the incident under active emergency management while crews secure the area and handle whatever immediate hazards remain. In crashes involving aircraft, scene control is critical, both for public safety and for whatever investigative steps follow.

At this stage, officials have only confirmed the basic facts: a helicopter crashed near the 3800 block of South Congress Avenue, police and fire rescue are on scene, and drivers should avoid the area. No timeline for reopening the area or clearing the scene was included in the initial information released by authorities.

Residents should watch for a follow-up from the Boynton Beach Police Department as more information becomes available. That next update will likely clarify the scope of the crash response and whether any road impacts remain in place.

For now, the scene remains active in Boynton Beach, and officials are directing the public to keep clear while first responders continue their work.
