BOYNTON BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — A driver is dead after a deadly accident near 10500 Hagen Ranch Road just south of Hagen Road Elementary in Western Boynton Beach.

Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office has confirmed with Boca Post that a driver is dead after crashing into another vehicle at a high rate of speed near the Hagen Road Elementary School.

From PBSO:

Vehicle 2 (V-2) was traveling northbound on Hagen Ranch Road within the left turn lane preparing to make

a left turn onto the access road for Hagen Road Elementary School. Vehicle 1 (V-1) was traveling southbound on Hagen Ranch Road within the outside lane of travel nearing the access road V-2 was preparing to turn left onto. As V-2 started to make the left turn, the driver of V-1 accelerated at a high rate of speed approximately 500 feet from V-2.  V-1 crashed into the front passenger corner of V-2. The driver of V-1 was ejected off V-1 and came to a final rest on the sidewalk on the south side of the access road. V-1 deceased.
