Jorge Castro Of Boynton Beach Passed Away After Accident

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — 68-Year-Old Jorge Castro was killed after being involved in a rollover accident in Boynton Beach on Friday afternoon.

Alexander Banica, 21, of Boynton Beach, was traveling eastbound in a Dodge Challenger, on Woolbright Road within the outside lane of travel, approaching the intersection of Wingfoot Drive.

Meanwhile, Jorge Castro, 68, of Boynton Beach, was traveling westbound on Woolbright Road, within the left-hand turn lane, attempting to make a left turn and travel south onto Wingfoot Drive.

As Banica attempted to traverse the intersection, Castro turned directly into its path which resulted in the ensuing collision.

During the collision, the front of Banica’s Dodge Challenger impacted the passenger side front of Castro’s Nissan Rogue.

Post impact Banica’s vehicle rotated in a clockwise direction while traveling southeast, before coming to final rest on the southeast corner of the intersection facing west.

Post impact Castro’s vehicle rotated in a counterclockwise fashion while rolling over and traveling eastbound, before coming to final rest on its driver side facing northwest.

Castro was pronounced deceased on the scene by Palm Beach County fire rescue.
