Today's Weather - Thursday, March 26, 2026

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Thursday, March 26, 2026 BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Sunshine dominates today with a high near 79 and an easterly breeze around 6 to 11 mph. It stays mostly clear tonight with a mild low near 71. Friday remains mostly sunny, but a brief shower can’t be ruled out late morning into early afternoon. The bigger story is the weekend: rain chances rise Saturday afternoon into Sunday, and winds and ocean conditions turn rougher along the coast

Boca Raton is set up for a classic late-March “quiet weather” day, with high pressure in control and dry air aloft helping keep clouds limited. The National Weather Service notes a strengthening ridge of high pressure overhead and at the surface, which favors sinking air and sunshine.

That’s why today’s forecast is straightforward: sunny skies, a comfortable east breeze, and temperatures near 79 to 80 along the immediate coast. Even with the dry pattern, the onshore flow helps the Atlantic sea breeze form late morning and afternoon.

Most of the lift from sea-breeze boundaries is expected to focus inland, so Boca should stay largely rain-free today. Friday is similar, though the local forecast allows a small (20%) chance of a quick shower before early afternoon.

The pattern begins to shift this weekend as a front approaches Florida. While the strongest storm energy stays north and northeast of South Florida, the front should get close enough to increase showers starting Saturday afternoon, with the best window for more widespread rain Saturday night into Sunday.

For boaters and beachgoers, conditions are manageable today but trend hazardous late weekend. Nearshore Atlantic waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach run easterly around 10 knots today with seas 3 to 5 feet (occasionally higher early), easing to 2 to 4 feet later.

Friday stays around 2 to 3 feet with lighter chop. By Saturday night into Sunday, winds ramp up sharply (northeast 20–25 knots with higher gusts, then east 25–30 knots Sunday) and seas build rapidly—potentially 8 to 11 feet Sunday nearshore and higher offshore.

Expect very rough intracoastal conditions in exposed areas, dangerous surf, and poor boating conditions. Rip current risk remains a key concern along the Atlantic beaches.
