Brandon Arias Of West Boca Arrested For Aggravated Battery

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — Brandon Arias of Boca Raton has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Brandon Arias, 23, of the 9000 block of Arbor Oaks Lane in west Boca Raton, has been arrested by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. Boca Post has been notified that the charge filed is “aggravated battery – person uses a deadly weapon”.

Arias was arrested days after his brother, Jordy Arias, and his father, Alvaro Arias, for an incident where they attacked a man at the community pool. Alvaro and Jordy were arrested that day; however, Brandon was arrested days later as he fled after the attack.

The victim and his girlfriend decided to hang out with their friend Jordy Arias at the pool area of Jody’s apartment complex located at Arbor Oaks. Brandon Arias later joined them at the pool area. The boyfriend and girlfriend began kissing when Brandon Arias became jealous and later started touching the girl’s thighs and her buttocks area. The victim asked Brandon Arias to stop being disrespectful to his girlfriend and that is when Brandon Arias broke a beer bottle and struck him in the head with it. Jordan Arias reportedly punched the victim in the face as well. Brandon and Jordan then started fighting him and fell to the ground. The victim reports that Brandon Arias bit him three times during the fight.

The victim was able to break free and started to run into the parking lot area. He stated he tried to leave with his girlfriend but they were able to catch up to him again and continued hitting him. The victim stated he then started running into the parking lot of the complex in fear for his life and that is when he noticed Brandon and Jordy‘s father, (Alvaro Arias) also joined the chase and struck him in the head with what he thinks might have been a knife. PBSO deputies started to arrive on the scene and arrested Jordy and Alvaro. Brandon Arias was nowhere to be found.

Due to Brandon Arias fleeing the scene at the time of the incident he was later apprehended and arrested on the same above charges on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022. Brandon Arias attempted to avoid apprehension by tearing through the rear patio screen of the apartment as deputies attempted to make contact with the family at the front door. Assisting deputies who were located at the rear patio were able to apprehend him without incident after giving him the verbal command to stop.
