HOLLYWOOD, FL (Boca Post) — Hollywood Police tell Boca Post that one man was shot and killed on July 22nd, 2022 in the 2100 block of Van Buren Street in Hollywood, FL.

Hollywood Police released the following news alert today:

On Friday, July 22nd, at approximately 11:30 P.M., officers of the Hollywood Police Department received a 911 call in reference to a possible shooting that occurred in the 2100 block of Van Buren Street. When officers arrived on the scene they located a victim with an apparent gunshot injury. Officers immediately administered first aid and started CPR. The victim was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital by Hollywood Fire Rescue where he, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.

The Hollywood Police Department is currently investigating this incident as a homicide. At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident and we will disseminate more information as it becomes available.
