Miami Shooting Suspect Chased Into Delray Beach, Arrested - Boca Post

DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — A shooting suspect fled from Miami-Dade police ending the chase at Congress and I-95 in Delray Beach.

An update from the Broward Sheriff’s Office was released late Saturday night:

Shortly after 6 p.m. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to a shooting call near the 4000 block of Southwest 18th Street in West Park. On scene, deputies located an adult female that was shot. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries. Crime scene and special victims unit detectives were contacted and responded to the scene to investigate.

A short time later, Miami-Dade Police Department located the subject in their city and a pursuit ensued on Interstate 95 northbound. The subject continued north through Broward County and into Palm Beach County. At approximately 7:53 p.m., the subject was taken into custody on Interstate 95 at Congress Avenue. The investigation continues.
