BOYNTON BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — The city of Boynton Beach tells Boca Post that beginning Monday morning the city will close Boynton Beach Boulevard will be closed at Lawrence Road will be closed for emergency repairs starting Monday.
From the City of Boynton Beach:
Beginning Monday morning, June 13, 2022, Boynton Beach Boulevard will be closed west of Lawrence Road for an emergency sanitary sewer repair by the City of Boynton Beach. The road is scheduled to remain closed until Sunday, July 3, 2022. Lawrence Road will also be closed north and south of Boynton Beach Boulevard and is expected to re-open on Monday, August 1, 2022.
Motorists along Boynton Beach Boulevard should seek alternate routes on Old Boynton Road and Woolbright Road.
Detour signs will be in place at Military Trail and Congress Avenue. Local traffic will be permitted east of Military Trail and west of Congress Avenue.

If this work is of such importance that they have to close such a major route as Boynton Beach BLVD, then the work should be done 24/7 in order to get it finished as quickly as possible. Otherwise they should steel construction plates over the trench when they aren’t working to allow the road to be open during those hours.
