BOCA RATON, FL — A man was arrested by Boca Raton Police after investigators said he was accused of stealing more than $2,500 in merchandise from a CVS on West Glades Road and then returning to the store the next day, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Jesstin Dave Corbitt, 28, was arrested June 3, 2026, at the CVS at 686 W. Glades Road. Court and jail records list charges of grand theft of property valued between $750 and $5,000 and failure to appear. The charges are allegations, and Corbitt is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
According to the affidavit, officers were dispatched at about 1:16 p.m. June 3 after CVS employees reported that a suspected shoplifter from June 2 had returned to the store.
The June 2 investigation began after a store manager and supervisor told Boca Raton Police that an unknown man entered the store at about 11:36 a.m. and repeatedly selected hygiene products, placed items into CVS shopping baskets and walked out without paying.
The affidavit alleges the person did that five times between about 11:36 a.m. and 11:48 a.m., taking a new CVS basket each time. The total loss was listed as $2,557.48.
On June 3, employees told police the same person was back at the store. The affidavit says officers found a man matching the description provided by employees, including distinctive shoes, and detained him while investigating.
Police wrote that an employee provided a sworn statement. Another employee identified the person as the same man from the June 2 theft and told officers he had arrived in the same vehicle seen the prior day, according to the affidavit.
The affidavit says police identified the man as Corbitt through a Florida driver’s license. Police also wrote that the vehicle was left running in the parking lot with a door unlocked and that officers saw products in the rear seat area that appeared consistent with merchandise reported stolen from CVS the day before.
After Corbitt was read his Miranda rights, he acknowledged he understood them and did not ask for an attorney, but declined to answer questions, according to the affidavit.
Boca Raton Police said a records check also showed a confirmed Palm Beach County warrant for failure to appear related to a driving while license suspended case. Police wrote that they found probable cause for grand theft based on sworn statements, witness identification, surveillance information from the earlier investigation, vehicle information and the totality of the circumstances.
Palm Beach County court records show the case was assigned June 4. Jail records show Corbitt was booked June 3 and released June 5 on surety bond. Bond was listed at $5,000 on the grand theft count and $2,000 on the failure-to-appear count.
A no-contact-with-CVS condition was also listed in the court docket. Court records list a July 3, 2026, return appearance and an Aug. 6, 2026, initial case conference. Attorney information was not included in the records provided.
