BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — You may notice more traffic stops conducted by PBSO as the agency tells us that they have stepped up traffic patrol this week.

PBSO says the Spring Break Traffic Enforcement Operation started on March 14th, 2022 will last until March 20th, 2022.

The agency says that the objective is to enforce traffic laws around excessive speed, loud mufflers, careless and reckless driving laws, and racing laws. It is an effort by the department to deter the use of public roadways in Palm Beach County for unlawful traffic activity and to reduce vehicle homicides.

The aggressive driving unit as well as additional PBSO resources will be in full effect between the hours of 1 PM and 10 PM daily through 3/20/22.

PBSO isn’t disclosing the areas they are focusing on but you can expect to see more traffic stops along the major roadways throughout Palm Beach County.
