Today’s Weather – Saturday, March 7, 2026
BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Boca Raton starts the day with a small chance of a quick shower, mainly early this morning, then turns mostly sunny and warm. Highs will run near 80 with a steady east breeze and occasional higher gusts. Beachgoers should take the rip current risk seriously, as dangerous surf conditions continue along Atlantic beaches through the weekend. Tonight stays mild with a low near 71 and only a small chance of a passing shower late
Boca Raton’s weekend weather is being driven by a familiar South Florida setup: high pressure parked over the western Atlantic and a broad ridge of warmer air aloft over Florida. In plain terms, that combination keeps storms limited, keeps temperatures running above normal, and keeps an onshore breeze going.
For today, the onshore (east to east-southeast) wind will be noticeable, generally around 10–15 mph with gusts that can top 20 mph at times. That breeze can push a few fast-moving coastal showers onshore, especially early this morning, which matches the forecast for a 30% chance of showers before about 8 a.m.
After that, the pattern favors plenty of sun and a warm afternoon near 80. Humidity is not extreme for March, but there’s enough moisture in the lower atmosphere for occasional brief showers to pop up along the coast.
Most neighborhoods will stay dry, and any shower that does develop should be short-lived. Tonight remains mild and breezy, with a low around 71 and only a 20% chance of a shower late.
Boaters and beachgoers should plan for persistent easterly winds and choppy conditions. Nearshore Atlantic waters off Boca Raton (Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach) will see east winds around 15 knots today with gusts near 20 knots, and seas 3–4 feet (occasionally up to 5 feet).
That supports “small craft should exercise caution,” especially for smaller vessels and anyone crossing inlets. Intracoastal waters will run a moderate chop at times.
The onshore flow also continues to elevate surf hazards at the beach, with a high rip current risk in place through the weekend.
Current Advisories / Watches / Warnings
- High Rip Current Risk through Sunday evening for FLZ168-172-173.
- Small Craft Should Exercise Caution (Atlantic coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach out 60 NM).
