BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — An 18 year old from Boca Pointe was arrested by FHP on Monday, January 17th, 2022 for felony drug charges.

Brayden Ringel, 18, of Boca Pointe in Boca Raton, spent a night in jail after his arrest for felony drug charges on January 17th, 2022. According to an arrest report submitted by Florida Highway Patrol, Ringel was observed driving erratically and speeding past the trooper. The trooper caught up to the 2018 Volkswagen Jetta and initiated a traffic stop when he observed that the vehicle’s license plate was obstructed with a sticker.

The trooper reports that during the course of the traffic stop he observed marijuana paraphernalia in plain sight. The trooper reports that Ringel admitted that there was small amounts of marijuana in the vehicle. When the trooper examined the ‘small amounts’ of marijuana he found it to be pre-packaged and apparently prepared for sale and distribution.

Ringel was placed in handcuffs and searched. A search of Ringel’s produced what turned out to be a Xanax pill on his person. A search of the vehicle was then conducted which produced $5,380 dollars in cash as well as 10 vape tubes containing THC oil marked ‘97% THC’. Based on the way the vape tubes were bundled with the cash, the troopers determined that it was ‘used for drug business’.

All cash and drugs were confiscated for evidence. The vehicle was towed. Ringel was arrested by FHP and was later delivered to the PBSO jail. Ringel spent one night in jail and was later released after posting $38,000 bond.

Ringel is now facing the following charges:

  • 11 counts of DRUG POSSESS CNTRL SUB WO PRESCRIPTION THC VAPE (893.13(6A))
  • 1 count of POSSESS MARIJUANA OVER 20 GRAMS (893.13(6A))
  • 1 count of TCATS DELIVER METHAMPHETAMINE (893.13(1A1))
  • 1 count of POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA (893.147(1))
