“You’re going to kill him”
38-year-old Peter Wallace Jr. Arrested, Charged With Armed Robbery
BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — A Boca Raton man was badly beaten and robbed behind a hotel in Boca Raton.
Hotel guests called 9-1-1 when they observed a man getting beaten and dragged into another vehicle behind a hotel in Boca Raton.
The violent attack happened just before 10 PM on Thursday, June 13th, 2024. That is when Boca Raton Police responded to the scene behind the Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel where they found 39-year-old Jeremy Feller of Boca Raton badly beaten. Feller told officers that his former bodyguard, 38-year-old Peter Wallace Jr. of North Lauderdale, had just beat him and pistol whipped him, stealing about $90k in cash, before fleeing the scene.
According to investigators, Feller checked into the hotel on 06/13/2024 and parked his BMW at the rear of the hotel, close to the entrance to his room. As he went to the front passenger seat of his vehicle, he observed a vehicle he recognized as belonging to Peter Wallace Jr. pull near the front of his vehicle and Wallace Jr. exited the vehicle and approached him demanding money that he owed him. Feller did not know how Wallace Jr. located him at the hotel, because he did not tell him he was going to be there. Feller attempted to get into his vehicle and away from Wallace Jr., but Wallace Jr. pulled the front passenger door of the vehicle open and began to strike Feller in the face with his fists. Wallace Jr. produced a pistol and struck Feller in the head multiple times with the pistol. Wallace Jr. then grabbed Feller by the front of his shirt and dragged him towards his vehicle. It should be noted that Feller had approximately $90,000.00 in cash in a black plastic bag in his hands as the incident was occurring (most of this currency was in $100.00 bills).
Feller was then thrown into the front driver seat of Wallace’s vehicle along with the plastic bag of cash and Wallace Jr. continued to strike Feller in the head life and demanding money from him. While this was occurring, Feller reported hearing a female voice on the car audio system telling him to stop and “you’re going to kill him”.
Feller said he tried to honk the horn to get the attention of others to help him during the attack.
Once it appeared that Wallace Jr. noticed the plastic bag of cash, he ripped it from Feller’s hands, causing the bag to rip and some of the cash to fall out onto the floor and into the suspect vehicle. Wallace Jr. then got into his vehicle and fled the scene. Feller described the suspect vehicle as a 2024 black Hyundai Genesis FL tag “BIGFACT” or “BIGFACTS”. Feller also provided a photograph of Wallace Jr.’s Florida driver’s license that he had from when he employed him.
Detectives later determined that Wallace Jr. does own a 2024 black Hyundai Genesis FL tag “BIGFACT”.
Feller was later diagnosed with a concussion and sustained lacerations to his lip and his head which required stitches and staples. It should also be noted that after the incident, Feller could not locate his BMW car key/fob and he believed it may have fell out of his pocket and into the suspect vehicle, during the altercation. He also noted that approximately $50,000.00 in cash was banded together and another $30,000.00 in cash was banded together inside the plastic bag and the remainder of the cash was loose in the bag together inside the plastic bag and the remainder of the cash was loose in the bag.
Several days later, detectives apprehended Wallace at his home in North Lauderdale. Wallace later told investigators that he has been in communication with Feller because he was owed $50,000. While Wallace did not explain how he knew Feller was going to be at the hotel, while carrying a large amount of cash, he stated that it is his job to know where Feller was. Wallace denied using a firearm during the altercation but admitted there is a firearm in the glovebox. Wallace reportedly threw the BMW keys out of the window while he was driving home after the attack.
Investigators later searched the vehicle where they found close to $90k in cash, separated in $10k bands. It was later confirmed that some of the cash had blood on it.
It remains unknown why Feller was at the hotel with such a large amount of cash.
Wallace is currently in the PBSO jail where he is facing the following charges:
- 812.13(2a) Robbery With Firearm
- 784.045(1a1) Aggravated Battery With a Firearm
