DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — DBPD arrest 5 men involved in a mail fraud scheme in our area.

Delray Beach Police have successfully apprehended five men who were allegedly involved in an organized mail fraud scheme. The suspects have been identified as Robbie Cadet, Dario Cadet, Billy Cadet, Schan Padovany, and Jordan St. Val. All suspects are facing charges related to fraudulent activities, criminal use of personal identification information and grand theft.

The investigation, into this case began when the U.S. Postal Inspection Service alerted law enforcement about a group of individuals in Delray Beach suspected of engaging in mail thefts within Palm Beach County. These criminals primarily targeted mail carriers to steal their postal arrow keys, which provided them access to mailboxes in the area.

Once they obtained the arrow keys they used them to access mailboxes and retrieve checks from stolen mails. These checks were then either altered or used as templates for creating checks that could be deposited into bank accounts for monetary gain.

To put an end, to this operation Delray Beach police collaborated with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office in executing search warrants on September 11th. Their coordinated efforts resulted in the arrest of these individuals involved in the scheme.

This joint operation showcases how law enforcement agencies are working diligently to combat organized fraud schemes and protect victims from losses caused by such criminal activities.

During the execution of the search warrant the police discovered a number of items including, than 2000 checks over 200 bank cards, a stolen postal arrow key and five stolen firearms.

The Delray Beach Police Department wants to inform the public that they are actively investigating this case of mail fraud and anticipate making arrests in the future.
To protect yourself from schemes we strongly advise taking the following precautions;

  2. It is highly recommended to monitor your bank accounts and credit reports for any signs of unauthorized activity.
  3. If you suspect any tampering, with your mail or if you have become a victim of mail fraud please report it immediately to your police department. Contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
