WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A PBSO deputy suffered minor injuries after a truck pulled out in front of his patrol motorcycle.

The crash happened at the intersection of Jog Road and Pioneer Road just before 7:00 AM on Wednesday, November 20th, 2023.

Anthony Rodriguez, was traveling eastbound on Pioneer Road, stopped at the intersection of Jog Road, attempting to turn left and travel northbound on Jog Road. At the same time, Deputy Garcia was driving a PBSO motorcycle southbound on Jog Road within the center lane, approaching the intersection of Pioneer Road. A third vehicle, driven by Andrew Travieso was traveling northbound on Jog Road, within the inside lane, approaching the intersection of Pioneer Road.

As Deputy Garcia neared the intersection, Rodriguez began its left turn directly in Deputy Garcia’s path of travel (violating his right of way) and causing the collision.

During the collision, the right side of Deputy Garcia’s collided with the driver’s front of Rodriguez’s truck, causing Deputy Garcia’s motorcycle to overturn and slide on its right side in a southeasterly direction. While sliding, Deputy Garcia collided with the front of Travieso’s car, before coming to final rest on the eastern shoulder of Jog Road facing north.

Deputy Garcia was transported to Saint Mary’s Medical Center, where he is being treated for minor injuries.
