WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A passenger has died days after a two-vehicle crash at Forest Hill Boulevard and Pinehurst Drive in West Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say the crash happened at about 8:57 a.m. on May 7, 2026. A 2020 Lexus RX450H was traveling eastbound on Forest Hill Boulevard in the left-turn lane at Pinehurst Drive, attempting to turn left to enter a park. A 2009 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on Forest Hill Boulevard in the inside lane.
According to PBSO, the driver of the Lexus turned left into the path of the Toyota. During the crash, the left front of the Toyota struck the right front of the Lexus. Both vehicles rotated slightly and came to rest within the intersection.
PBSO identified the passenger in the Lexus as Phyllis Briskin. Investigators say Briskin and the driver of the Toyota, Josemine Toussaint, were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Toussaint sustained serious injuries, according to the report. The driver of the Lexus, Robert Fish, was listed with minor injuries.
PBSO later updated the report, stating: “The passenger of Vehicle 1, Phyllis Briskin, succumbed to her injuries sustained in this crash and was pronounced deceased on 5/11/2026.” The fatality time was listed as 5:43 a.m.
The crash remains documented by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
