Wesley Thompson, 84, Passed Away

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — 84-year-old Wesley Thompson died after a a serious car accident in unincorporated West Palm Beach.

The deadly accident happened near Belvedere Road and Pike Road in unincorporated West Palm Beach at 3 PM on Saturday, November 26th, 2023.

Herbert Dunkley, 76, was traveling westbound in a Dodge Van on Belvedere Road at Pike Road. At the same time, Wesley Thompson, 84, was driving a Scooter eastbound on Belvedere Road at Pike Road. As Thompson entered the intersection, Dunkley turned left into the path of Thompson causing a collision between the front of Thompson’s scooter and the passenger side front wheel of Dunkley’s van.

The crash caused Thompson caused to be ejected from the scooter. Following the crash, Dunkley brought his van to a controlled rest in the southbound lane of Pike Road.

Dunkley came to rest in the eastbound lanes of Belvedere Road in the intersection.

Thompson was transported to St Mary’s Medical Center by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue due to injuries sustained during the collision. Sadly, Thompson passed way two days later on November 28th, 2023.
