WELLINGTON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A man died days after being shot in a Wellington home on Monday.

According to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, deputies first responded to a home on the 1200 block of Periwinkle Place in Wellington at about 2:30 AM on Monday, August 21st, 2023.

The first arriving deputies found a chaotic scene, with a large crowd of people outside of the residence. Deputies quickly learned that a gunshot was heard inside of the home. A victim was then found inside of the home, suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital. That victim has died today.

PBSO tells Boca Post that the shooting is being investigated as a homicide, adding that the investigation is still very active.
