BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Boca Raton woman convicted in a high-profile federal child sex trafficking case more than a decade ago is back in the Palm Beach County jail on a new allegation tied to the requirements that followed that conviction.

Mandi Bowman, 36, was arrested this week by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on a charge accusing her of failing to properly register as a sex offender, according to court documents. Investigators allege Bowman did not complete a required re-registration that was due after she reported an address change to unincorporated Boca Raton late last year.

Bowman’s case dates back to a 2012 federal investigation that authorities said centered on a website advertising escort services. Bowman was charged at age 22 with arranging trafficking of minors for sex. She faced the possibility of a life sentence, but ultimately pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children, according to the case history described in the documents.

She was sentenced to four years, and served 36 months in state prison before her release, the filing states. As part of the consequences attached to the conviction, Bowman is required to comply with ongoing sex offender registration rules, including periodic re-registration.

In the current case, court records say Bowman reported an address change in November 2025, moving from Broward County to Collington Drive in unincorporated Boca Raton. At the time of that reported move, investigators say Bowman acknowledged she was obligated to re-register during her birthday month and again six months later.

Her birthday passed in January, according to the documents. Investigators allege she failed to complete the required registration step, leading to her arrest Wednesday.

The registration allegation puts renewed attention on the underlying 2012 case, which federal authorities at the time described as stemming from an undercover operation. According to those statements, an undercover law enforcement officer posed as a client and contacted a 14-year-old girl to arrange a meeting for what authorities called a “commercial sex act.”

When the minor arrived at the meeting location, the undercover officer identified himself as law enforcement, the federal account said. The girl then told the officer Bowman helped the prostitution ring by setting up the website advertisement and teaching her how to schedule appointments and negotiate prices, according to the federal statements summarized in the court.
