Frantz Laine Arrested For Vehicular Homicide, More

TAMARAC, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — 20-year-old Frantz Laine arrested on vehicular homicide charges for killing two people in a deadly crash in Tamarac.

Frantz Laine, of Pompano Beach, was arrested for his part in the deadly Tamarac car crash that killed 2 people, and injured 3 more, we reported in February. Deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office tell us now that they have charged Laine.

The crash happened at 1:24 PM on February 13th near West McNab Road in Tamarac. Investigators say that Laine slammed into a Hyundai with his Lexus IS 250 at such speeds that the engine was separated from the Hyundai before flipping over.

The Tamarac Fire Department transported all 5 occupants of the Hyundai to a local hospital where one of them was pronounced deceased. A week later, the driver of the Hyundai died as well.

Laine was arrested on Monday, August 14th, 2023, exactly 6 months after the crash, and charged with the following:

  • 2 counts of Vehicular Homicide
  • 2 counts of Reckless Driving w/Injury
  • 6 counts of Reckles Driv/Pers-INJ Prop Dam
  • Possess Cannabis/20 Grams Or Less
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
