Antonio Sanchez Charged With Aggravated Battery, More

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — Antonio Sanchez of Boca Raton has been arrested and charged with burglary with battery, aggravated battery on 65+, and felony battery, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

According to an arrest affidavit, PBSO deputies responded to Prokleen Cleaners at 21717 US-441 in West Boca Raton at 3:11 PM on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023. While there deputies spoke to a man who said he was parking his vehicle when he heard a female screaming. The man turned to see where the screams were coming from and saw an elderly Hispanic male (later identified as Antonio Sanchez-Falcon) punching (multiple times) an elderly female while she was sitting in the front seat of a vehicle. The witness said he also saw a knife in Antonio’s hand as he was trying to stab the woman.

The witness then ran over to both subjects and was able to pull Antonio off of the woman and grabbed the knife out of Antonio’s hand. Antonio then fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.

Deputies spoke to the woman who said she entered her grey Nissan Sentra that was parked in the parking lot area near Prokleen Cleaners. While inside her vehicle, Antonio opened the driver-side door and yelled out, “You’re talking trash to my grandson about me!” Antonio then actively swung the knife at the woman; striking the left side of her stomach area. The woman put her hands up in an attempt to block the knife from striking her. At that time, the woman was able to grab the knife with her right hand; causing a laceration to her right palm area.

Antonio then started to punch the woman multiple times, with a right closed-handed fist, on the right side of her facial area; causing her nose to bleed. The woman said a witness was able to pull Antonio off her and Antonio ran away.

The woman told me, deputies, she has not spoken to Antonio since they divorced in 2018.

Antonio Sanchez was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Saturday, March 4th, 2023. Antonio Sanchez is scheduled to see a judge for his first appearance later this morning.
