BROWARD COUNTY, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives said they have safely located 27-year-old Omar Castonon Diaz.
The update follows a missing persons alert that was issued Saturday, March 7. BSO said Diaz was last seen in the 2100 block of Southwest Second Street in Pompano Beach.
BSO is the agency handling the case and issued the public alert. The sheriff’s office did not release additional details in its notice about where Diaz was found or the circumstances of his disappearance.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — BSO detectives are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 27-year-old man who was last seen in Pompano Beach.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said detectives are looking for Omar Castonon Diaz. Detectives said Diaz was last seen around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, in the 2100 block of Southwest Second Street.
BSO provided a description to help residents identify him. Diaz is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and wears glasses.
Detectives said Diaz was last seen wearing blue jeans and a beige hooded sweatshirt with a dark blue shirt underneath.
He was also last seen carrying a blue bag while riding a gray Schwinn bicycle, according to BSO.
BSO is asking anyone who has information about Diaz’s whereabouts to contact BSO Detective Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4268. Tips can also be called in to the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).
