UPDATE

PBSO has identified the victims as Ana Diego Matias, 20, of Lantana and Stanley Sands, 76, of Lake Worth.

The NTSB is investigating the crash further.

Palm Beach Fire Rescue says that at approximately 11:20, Units were dispatched to the South County Park Airport in Lantana for a reported Aircraft Incident.

It was reported by multiple callers that a small plane had crashed. Initial arriving units found a plane was down in the northeast portion of the airport, east of runway 16. Upon arrival, responding firefighters found a fire. The fire was brought under control at 11:27.

There were two individuals on the plane.  Both were confirmed dead on the scene by PBCFR Paramedics. The NTSB is responding to investigate.

PBSO tells Boca Post that two people have died in the small plane crash. The crash happened at the Lantana Airport located near Congress Ave and Lantana Road in Lantana just after 11:19 on Friday morning.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are on scene. FAA and NTSB have been notified
