Ruben Perez Passed Away

SOUTH BAY, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A Belle Glade man crashed a van on US-27 and passed away early on Friday, May 19th, 2023.

According to the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office, 52-year-old Ruben Perez, of Belle Galde, was traveling northbound in the northbound outside lane of US Highway 27 near the 10200 block.

Deputies say that Perez's van drifted, for unknown reasons, onto the shoulder and struck the guardrail. The van then began to yaw to the left back onto the roadway in the northbound lanes and crossed over into the center median. The van then began to roll over in the median. Post-collision, the van landed upright in the inside southbound lane facing southwest. Perez exited the van through the driver's door and collapsed next to the passenger side of the van.

Ruben Perez was pronounced dead on the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
