Kaiden Flunk, 18, Arrested

NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A man died after falling off the back of a moving vehicle driven by 18-year-old Kaiden Flunk who has now been charged with vehicular homicide.

Kaiden Flunk, 18, from Lauderhill was apprehended by detectives from the Broward Sheriffs Office Traffic Homicide Unit after one of his passengers fell off the trunk of his car and tragically lost their life.

On Friday, August 11 at 3;52 a.m. deputies from BSO in North Lauderdale responded to a call reporting an injured individual in the 1500 block of Southwest 81st Avenue. Upon arrival they found an adult male lying in the middle of the road. The North Lauderdale Fire Rescue team promptly. Transported him to a hospital due, to life threatening injuries.

Based on investigations it appears that Kaiden Flunk was driving westbound on West McNab Road in a 2004 Volvo S60 when he stopped at a traffic signal intending to make a turn onto Southwest 81st Avenue. During this time one of Flunks passengers mentioned that they wanted to ride on top of the trunk. As the Volvo continued heading on Southwest 81st Avenue unfortunately the passenger fell off the trunk. Landed on the road.

Regrettably, despite efforts made by first responders, the passenger was pronounced deceased on August 14th.

Flunk was arrested on Thursday, August 24th, 2023, and was charged with vehicular homicide.
