BSO arrest suspect in North Lauderdale homicide. Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives on Friday made an arrest in the murder of a man in North Lauderdale.

After reviewing evidence, surveillance video, and witness statements, homicide detectives were able to positively identify Mickeyvin Brown as the shooter. Friday afternoon, BSO’s North Lauderdale District Crime Suppression Team (CST) located Brown while he was driving his Nissan Maxima in the city of Tamarac.  Deputies conducted a traffic stop and Brown was taken into custody.

Brown was transported to BSO Main Jail and is facing charges of second-degree murder with a firearm, first-degree felony with a weapon, and probation violation.

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in North Lauderdale just after midnight on January 3rd, 2022.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, an adult male was shot and killed in North Lauderdale, and detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to investigators, at approximately 12:26 a.m., Jan. 3, BSO deputies responded to a shooting call at 8230 S.W. Fourth Court in North Lauderdale. When deputies arrived, they located an adult male unresponsive in the driveway of the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.

BSO’s Homicide Unit is asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact Homicide Detective Ian Kuechler at 954-321-4200.
