DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Delray Beach’s 100-foot Christmas tree wins prestigious IFEA gold award.

The Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department’s Special Events division was honored with a prestigious Gold Award for their exceptional event program featuring a magnificent 100 foot Christmas tree. This recognition came as part of the IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards competition, presented by the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA).

“The 100-foot Christmas tree event is one of the city’s most popular with about 30,000 people visiting the tree each year, and the winning brochure reflects the beauty and attention to detail that makes it so special,” Delray Beach Parks & Recreation Director Sam Metott said. “I’m very proud of our parks and recreation staff and the work of special events team Nan Krushinski, Danielle Pearson and Danielle Beardsley. Congratulations to them.”

During the 66th Annual IFEA Convention, Expo & Retreat held in McAllen, Texas, Nan Krushinski, the special events administrator of Delray Beach, gratefully accepted this esteemed award on behalf of the city.

The competition, sponsored by Haas & Wilkerson Insurance, attracted submissions from renowned festivals and events worldwide. Notable winners included the Philadelphia Flower Show, Cherry Creek Arts Festival in Colorado, Pasadena Tournament of Roses in California, Kentucky Derby Festival in Louisville, Vivid Sydney in Australia and Chiang Mai Blooms in Bangkok, Thailand.
