UPDATE

PBSO tells us that the investigation into the shooting/homicide is still active and ongoing. Detectives note that other persons were present within the home at the time of the shooting. Investigators are considering an attempted murder-suicide scenario however, several investigative processes are being undertaken at this time in order to confirm preliminary evidence.

The female remains in critical condition.

The family and friends of the victim are asking for privacy so Boca Post will not be identifying the victim or providing any information that could lead to identification.

LOXAHATCHEE, FL (Boca Post) — PBSO responded to a shooting on the 15000 block of Forest Lane in Loxahatchee where they found a man dead and a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

A large PBSO and PBCFR response was seen near the area of 15000 Forest Lane, just west of C road, shortly after 6:20 AM on Monday, March 27th, 2023. Deputies and Fire Rescue personnel responded to a shooting where they found a dead man and a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

The woman was transported to a local hospital. Detectives from PBSO’s Violent Crimes Division are en route to the scene.

It is unclear at the moment if the incident was an attempted murder-suicide.
