UPDATE: The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has canceled this Silver Alert. You can view the FDLE cancellation notice here.
FLORIDA (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Florida Silver Alert has been issued for a missing man last known to be in Miami, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
FDLE said the alert is for Samlal Singh, 75, from Miami in Miami-Dade County. The Silver Alert is a statewide notice used to help locate missing older adults, and it relies on the public to watch for someone who matches the description and to report tips quickly.
FDLE’s flyer lists Singh as a male, American Indian, with gray hair and brown eyes. He is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds.
The last known area provided by FDLE is Miami, in Miami-Dade County. No other location details were included in the FDLE posting.
Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is the agency to contact with information. Anyone who sees someone matching the description, or who has information that could help locate Singh, is asked to contact the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office at 305-476-5423 or call 911.
For residents in South Florida, the immediate ask is simple: look, remember the description, and report what you know to law enforcement. Silver Alerts can move quickly across county lines, and tips from the public can help investigators narrow down where to search.
The official FDLE flyer is posted online at http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/MCICSearch/Flyer.asp?ID=510441.
