FLORIDA (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old girl from Mayo, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

FDLE identified the missing child as Genesis Aguilar-Colindres, 15. She is described as female, White-Hispanic, with black hair and brown eyes. FDLE listed her height as 5'05" and her weight as 150.

The last known area provided in the alert is Mayo, in Lafayette County. FDLE did not release additional details in the alert about when she was last seen or what she was last wearing.

Missing Child Alerts are statewide notices intended to quickly spread information and generate tips that can help locate a missing child. For residents in South Florida, the key point is simple: these alerts travel fast and wide, and someone far from the last known location can still have information that matters, a sighting, a call, a message, anything that helps law enforcement narrow down where to look.

FDLE is the state agency issuing the alert. The local agency handling tips and follow-up is the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office at 386-294-1222 or call 911.
