DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — BSO is investigating a domestic-related stabbing reported late Friday night in Deerfield Beach that led to an arrest hours later in Pompano Beach.

Broward County Regional Communications received a report around 11:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, of a domestic-related stabbing in the 4700 block of Northeast First Terrace in Deerfield Beach, according to the BSO Public Information Office.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. Deputies found an adult female suffering from stab wounds. Paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The adult male suspect, who lives with the victim, was not on scene when deputies arrived, BSO said.

After investigating, BSO deputies located the suspect’s vehicle shortly before 3:30 a.m. in Pompano Beach, in the area of East Copans Road and North Dixie Highway.

A BSO deputy attempted to make a traffic stop, but the suspect refused to stop and traveled a short distance before crashing the vehicle into a fence, BSO said. The suspect then abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

Deputies took the suspect into custody.

Inside the vehicle, deputies located a teenage female suffering from stab wounds, BSO said. Both the suspect and the teenage victim were taken to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

BSO identified the arrested suspect as Eric Senat, born 2/17/1992.

BSO’s Special Victims and Crime Scene units are actively investigating the circumstances of the incident.

BSO also contacted the Florida Department of Children and Families regarding the case.

Residents should expect an active investigation as BSO works to determine what led up to the stabbing report in Deerfield Beach and the events that followed in Pompano Beach. Anyone with information about the incident can monitor BSO updates as the investigation continues.
