DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — A man was struck by a car and killed in Deerfield Beach early on Saturday morning.

The deadly crash happened near North Federal Highway and NE Eller Street in Deerfield Beach just after 12 AM on Saturday, January 20th, 2024.

Broward County Regional Communications received a notification about a traffic accident with injuries at the junction of North Federal Highway and Northeast Eller Street in Deerfield Beach. Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue promptly arrived at the scene. They discovered an adult male lying on the road who was later declared deceased.

The driver of the vehicle believed to be involved in the crash stayed at the scene, cooperating with law enforcement. The Traffic Homicide Unit of BSO has been called in to conduct an investigation.
