A awful crash happened Saturday morning in the 3800 block of North Dixie Highway. The Broward Sheriffs Office is looking into what went wrong. Apparently Miguel Estaban Augustin was behind the wheel of a 2011 Toyota Tacoma heading south. It seems he had trouble with a curve, in the road and lost control sliding sideways into traffic. The truck veered east hit the curb and then slammed into two palm trees.The car ended up in the northbound lanes of North Dixie Highway. Sadly the driver didn’t make it. They were pronounced dead at the scene by the firefighters, from Oakland Park Fire Rescue. The police are still looking into what happened.
