On January 10th of the year 2025 After conducting an investigation for several months Detectives from the Broward Sheriffs Office in Oakland Park apprehended an individual Upon finding a significant quantity of illicit substances and numerous firearms One of which was identified as stolen with its serial number purposely altered. The apprehension of Joshua Lherisson, at the age of 21 Occurred following two instances of gunfire that disturbed the typically tranquil community of Oakland Park in the year. The shootings prompted an investigation led by BSOs Oakland Park detectives and Crime Suppression Team. Under the eye of detectives, during surveillance operations Lherissons actions were closely watched as he engaged in selling narcotics while using tactics to evade law enforcement. These observations led to the decision to arrest him. On Thursday the 9th of January investigators. Apprehended Lherisson in the 5600 block of Northeast 14 th Avenue with a firearm and narcotics in his possession. With cause established by detectives a search warrant was issued for his home at 2012 N.W. 38 Th Street. The subsequent search uncovered a stash of substances such, as MDMA (often referred to as Ecstasy or Molly) amphetamines, cocaine and Oxycodone. Investigators found three guns during the investigation. A Glock 9mm pistol and an AR style rifle were among them; they also recovered a stolen Smith & Wesson 442 with its number scratched off. Lherisson was taken to the BSO Main Jail. Is now facing several charges like having amphetamines in his possession and trafficking Oxycodone and MDMA or cocaine while armed. Hes also charged with tampering with a firearms identification markings and holding identification documents besides using a firearm during a felony. The investigation is still ongoing, at this time.
