25-10-1 Date: Oct. 2, 2025 ​ The Broward Sheriff’s Office warmly invites you to its Operation Medicine Cabinet and Shred-A-Thon event, where you can securely dispose of personal documents and safely discard unused, unwanted, or expired medications in Parkland. This free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Parkland Equestrian Center, located at 8350 Ranch Road. Each vehicle is permitted to bring a maximum of two boxes for shredding. Each box must measure no more than 16 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 12 inches high. Residents who submit prescription medications will receive a $5 gift card while supplies last. Please note that needles and sharp objects will not be accepted at this event.
