Victims are also made aware that they have the option of seeking assistance from organizations besides the authorities should they choose to do. Sergeant Erica Rockey from BSOs SID emphasizes the message that there is always hope and a path towards a situation for victims. She reassures victims that despite feeling trapped because of their experiences and the manipulation by traffickers impacting their mindset negatively; there are avenues towards reclaiming control of their lives and healing.
