25-10-4 Date: October 6 2025 – In a smash‑and‑grab burglary that left the door shattered and roughly $1,900 missing a bike shop in Lauderdale‑by‑the‑Sea was hit. Detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, in Lauderdale‑by‑the‑Sea are releasing details in hopes of identifying the suspect(s) who struck Pedrito’s Bike Shop at 238 Commercial Blvd. The incident unfolded around 8:19 p.m. On Thursday September 18. When the deputies pulled up the bike shop’s front door was shattered the cash register hung open. The money was nowhere to be found. Detectives noted the suspect bore tattoos along the portions of both arms. Anyone with information about the burglary should contact BSO’s Lauderdale‑By‑the‑Sea Det. Ben Koos, at 954‑640‑4234.
