BOYNTON BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony next week to mark the opening of two new multi-sport turf fields at West Boynton Park in the West Boynton community.
The ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at West Boynton Park, 6000 Northtree Boulevard in Lake Worth.
The new fields are intended to expand recreational opportunities, improve access to high-quality athletic facilities and support additional sports programming for residents in the West Boynton area.
West Boynton Park is operated by Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation, which manages parks, facilities, programs and services across the county for residents of all ages and abilities. The department is part of a nationally accredited park system recognized for recreation management.
The park is a 39.76-acre district park with a mix of indoor and outdoor amenities. Its facilities include administrative offices, a multipurpose gymnasium, meeting rooms, five lighted baseball fields, lighted basketball courts, a 1-mile exercise course with 15 stations, three lighted multipurpose fields, picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, a lighted roller hockey rink, a skate park, two lighted softball fields, lighted tennis courts and a lighted sand volleyball court.
The park is open from sunrise to sunset. Lighted court facilities and permitted lighted athletic fields remain open until 10 p.m. Recreation center hours vary.

The May 6 ribbon cutting will formally celebrate completion of the turf field project and open the new fields for community use.
